Empower Your Workplace: Free Mental Health Awareness Taster Session

Jan 03, 2024

In recognition of Time to Talk Day on February 1st 2024, Premier Partnership, in collaboration with Yellowday, announce a great free taster session aimed at fostering mental health awareness and resilience in the workplace.

This initiative aims to support individuals in managing their mental health effectively, encouraging open conversations, and providing valuable insights into coping strategies.

As part of this collaboration, a complimentary 90-minute taster session of Yellowday's comprehensive Managing Mental Health and Wellbeing course will be offered at 2.00pm on Thursday 1st February. This session promises an insightful exploration of various elements pivotal to understanding and addressing mental health challenges.

One of the core aspects covered in this session is the exploration of stress and its management. Participants will delve into the intricacies of stress containers, offering a holistic approach to comprehending and managing stress factors. Some of the key elements encompassed within this module include:

Identifying Stress Containers:

  • What is causing me stress?
  • What is my emotional signature (signs that you or others will notice if you are feeling stressed)?
  • Are the things in my container real problems or have I made them bigger through my thoughts?
  • What can I change in my stress container?
  • What can’t I change and need to accept?
  • What help do I need and who can help me?
  • Helpful coping strategies
  • Unhelpful coping strategies

Premier Partnership and Yellowday's joint partnership for Time to Talk Day 2024 presents a unique opportunity for individuals to embark on a journey toward better mental health. This taster session offers a glimpse into the comprehensive Managing Mental Health and Wellbeing course, providing invaluable insights and practical strategies to navigate the complexities of mental health challenges.

The session will be delivered by highly experienced trainer Ali Grady. Ali has many years of experience working with and coaching senior leadership teams. She’s held senior HR positions in organisations including Boots the Chemist, the NHS and the BBC.  Having supported a number of managers and employees on complex cases where mental ill-health was a concern, and having had experience of managing her own mental ill-health at work, Ali has developed a passion for helping to raise awareness of mental ill health in the workplace through training and workshops.

Ali is a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a member of the British Psychological Society. She’s a coach accredited with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and holds a Diploma in Transformational Coaching.
