Course Overview:

This immersive course delves deep into the multifaceted landscape of sexual offending. It provides a comprehensive understanding of definitions, typologies, theories, and legislative frameworks surrounding sexual offending behaviour. Understanding victim needs is pivotal. This course shines a light on trauma, Trauma Informed Care, considerations for repeat victims, and specific risks faced by individuals with physical and learning disabilities. Emphasising empowerment, participants will explore fostering a healthy internal locus of control for those at risk.

Public protection measures will be central to our discussion, encompassing a review of multi-agency Public Protection Arrangements and the multi-agency approach to offender management. Effective community supervision and monitoring strategies for sexual offenders will also be highlighted.
