Road Safety Audit – Keeping up to Date

Course Information

A 2 day course designed to provide up to date knowledge on recent research, publications and DfT Standards relevant to road safety audit, and experience of new audit areas covered and more challenging workshops. This course is aimed at practicing safety auditors who want to build on their safety audit experience. The course consists of informal short lectures, practical workshops, discussion sessions, case studies and examples.

The aim of the course is to give delegates a more comprehensive understanding of recent research and publications.The course provides delegates from all backgrounds with the knowledge, skills and understanding to carry out their professional roles and the opportunity for delegates to network and discuss recent complex issues relating to new areas of road safety auditing. As the aim of the course is to be as current and up to date as possible, please note that the content will always be subject to change.

    To provide essential safety information for staff at risk from sharps and blood bourne viruses.

  • Be aware of blood bourne viruses and how you could be infected
  • Identify the hazards associated with sharps and needlesticks
  • Identify situations where you may be exposed to sharps and needle sticks and know safe precautions to take
  • Explore company policy and legal outlines on the management of sharps
  • Understand what to do if you suffer a puncture injury
  • Understand how to store and dispose of sharps and needlesticks
  • Qualitative assessment by Tutor.
