Course Information

Course Overview

This is a virtual course delivered through the C&G e-functional skills platform and through our own virtual learning classrooms. The sessions are designed to imrpoved caniddates knowledge of maths through everyday situations in work and life. The programme is self-led, so can be progressed through at the pace that suits the candidate, but the maximum amount of time allowed is 12 months.

    • Assessment

    This is a single online remotely invigilated exam. This assessment comprises of two sections:

  • Non-calculator section (25% of the total marks) – 25 minutes
  • Calculator section (75% of the total marks) – 1 hour 20 minutes

    • The exam will be graded as a whole and will be awarded as either a pass or a fail. The exam will be a mixture of ‘fixed response’ questions (where there is one correct answer) and ‘open response’ (which might include several steps and a range of appropriate responses). The delegate may also be asked to construct a graph, chart or diagram, they will be able to practice these prior to the exam.

    Aimed at practising or aspiring managers who supervise or manage a team, or project officer and shift manager to achieve clearly defined outcomes. With an emphasis on managing hybrid teams.

    • Study time:

    The amount of study time required will depend on your experience, previous knowledge and expertise, etc. CMI recommend an average amount of study time for the Certificate qualification to be 130 hours in total which includes all of your virtual workshops, self managed learning and assignment completion.
