Introduction:
Florence Healthcare is a company that provides assistance to the National Health Service (NHS) and social care services to deliver the best care to patients. The company approached Premier Partnership to develop and deliver a course on adult and child safeguarding for healthcare professionals.
The Challenge:
Florence Healthcare had an urgent need to train their staff on adult and child safeguarding. They required a training course that would be effective, efficient, and comprehensive, but with a short turnaround time. The company had to ensure that the course content covered all the required information as they were due an audit in the near future, and the delivery was required to be virtual as this training need had to be accessible to all staff who work across the UK.
The Solution:
Premier Partnership were tasked with developing and delivering the adult and child safeguarding courses. We conducted a thorough needs assessment to identify the training requirements and develop the course materials. We used a variety of learning methods including interactive exercises, to ensure the course material was engaging and informative whilst being online.
Premier Partnership delivered the Level 3 Adult Safeguarding and Level 3 Child Safeguarding courses with these courses designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to safeguard adults and children who are at risk of abuse or neglect.
The Results:
With the courses completed, Florence Healthcare was successful in passing their audit. The training courses were effective, and the staff demonstrated an increased awareness of safeguarding issues. The success of the training led the client to include the completion of these courses for all staff in their policies, ensuring that all healthcare professionals working with them would have the knowledge and skills required to safeguard adults and children.
Conclusion:
Premier Partnership delivered a quick and effective solution for Florence Healthcare's adult and child safeguarding training requirements. The courses were designed to deliver the knowledge and skills needed to safeguard adults and children who are at risk. With the success of the training courses, Florence Healthcare passed their audit, and after one of their policy makers had an opportunity to observe the sessions, a recommendation to complete the training has been written into their new policies. The partnership between Florence Healthcare and Premier Partnership resulted in a positive outcome, demonstrating the importance of effective training for healthcare professionals, and showing the ability of Premier to be agile to work to such tight deadlines.
